Great Yorkshire Show

There’s something quintessentially British about visiting a traditional agricultural show, a chance to celebrate the great outdoors and the best of British farming, country pursuits and local produce.

When it comes to agricultural shows they don’t get much bigger than the annual Great Yorkshire Show, with hundreds of attractions and activities to keep you entertained.

See over 12,000 animals battle it out to be named best-in-class. Judge for yourself the prize-winning pigs and sheep!

Enjoy live demonstrations of country skills, including sheep shearing, milking and dry stone walling, and browse.

Where else could you buy agricultural machinery and designer clothes at the same venue? With many award-winning events throughout the country, Hobbycraft events have become increasingly popular for those looking to indulge in their passion for arts and crafts. With live expert demonstrations, extensive talks, displays plus free workshops where you can learn invaluable tips and tricks to take away with you plus a fantastic array of creative crafting supplies from many exhibitors, Hobbycraft shows are perfect for anyone looking to get creative!

Horse of the Year Show

This fantastic event celebrates the end of the equestrian season for this, inviting all of the most successful horses to parade in all their beauty for your admiration - a show to determine the champion of champions amongst the horses. Established in 1949 originally, this show jumping extravaganza was the first event of its kind to mark the completion of the equestrian season.

Staged by the British Show Jumping Association, Horse of the Year presents a mix of show classes, open to prize-winning horses who have triumphed in major shows throughout the year. Since its establishment, HOYS has grown in popularity, attracting the likes of Prince Phillip in 1961, becoming a National Institution and ultimate goal for any rider to achieve. Running for over 65 years, this show now welcomes 1,600 horses and ponies, 1,500 competitors and 65,000 spectators. 

A truly breath taking spectacle and great chance to enjoy the elegance and talent of these wonderful creatures!
