The racecourse plays host to some of the most popular events in the racing calendar, including the Grand National Trial in February, The Temple Stakes in May, the Old Newton Cup and Lancashire Oaks in July, the Sprint Cup in September and of course, the Betfair Chase in November. The grounds at Haydock make for excellent viewing, with an abundance of amenities and plenty of places to eat and drink. Revel in the lively atmosphere and look out for your horse and favourite jockey in the parade ring before roaring them home past the winning post! Attracting thousands of visitors every year, Haydock Park is also a fantastic venue for a whole host of spectacular events.

Located between Liverpool and Manchester, Haydock Park is the jewel of the north and heartbeat of British horse racing, with over 33 days of world-class racing on both the flat and jumps over the year.

Haydock Park racecourse is as well-known for its facilities as it is the racing, with its grandstands providing some of the most breathtaking views in racing from which you can cheer your tips home.

The racecourse will play host to some of the biggest Saturday racecards in the flat racing calendar, allowing you to see the best runners and riders in the sport.

The Group 2 Temple Stakes is one of the early highlights on the flat and sees some of the best three year olds and over compete over 5 furlongs.

The Newton Cup in July is Haydock's oldest and most prestigious handicap race which was first run in 1899 whilst the Group 3 Lancashire Oaks meeting in August sees the best three and year olds fillies and mares pitted against one another.

The highlight of the Haydock flat campaign is the Sprint Cup in September, a prestigious Grade 1 meeting with the prolific three year olds and older battling it out for the £150,000 winner’s prize.
