The East Yorkshire market town of Beverley is home to one of the most charming racecourses in the country and is renowned for its warm welcome.
The course is home to some great feature races throughout the year, including the Hilary Needler Trophy for advanced fillies and the Beverley Bullet for speed demons.
The course also offers a selection of theme days, from the popular ‘British Raceday’ over Spring Bank Holiday featuring seaside games and a sing-a-long to the ‘Last Night at the Proms’, family fun days featuring circus acts and fairground rides and the hottest social event of the year, Ladies’ Day.
Picking a winner at Beverley is never easy. Whilst low draws are always advantageous the key is timing your finish to perfection.
The course is known for its tough uphill finish which proves a real stern test of the horse’s stamina. This makes for some great grandstand finishes and gets the crowd in full voice as some horses fatigue towards the end whilst others leave enough in the tank to make a late challenge to the winning post.
So whatever horse you back make sure you get a good vantage point and give them all the support they need.
Away from the track, there’s plenty of entertainment taking place and areas to enjoy a picnic and glass of bubbly.
Full of intense live action, drama and an electric atmosphere, Beverley races is a day to remember.
At National Holidays we offer some great racing packages to some of the UK’s biggest races and favourite courses, including Aintree, Haydock, Doncaster and Chester.
