Soul diva Beverley Knight is back doing what she does best on her first tour of the UK in four years.
Known as “The Queen of UK Soul’, Knight’s solo tour will celebrate her remarkable 20 years in the industry and coincides with her eighth studio album which she says will have an R&B feel to it.
She will be hitting 13 major cities across the UK and in a nod to her recent success in musical theatre will play the London leg at the world famous Palladium, where she starred in Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Cats as Grizabella.
Over the past 20 years Knight has been scored 14 Top 40 hits and three Top 10 albums including “Voice: The Best Of Beverley Knight” which went platinum. She has sold over a million albums in the UK alone, four of which have been certified gold.
Her biggest hits include "Greatest Day", "Shoulda Woulda Coulda", "Come As You Are" and "Made It Back".
On stage and on record she has performed with some of music’s biggest names, most notably Prince, Jamiroquai, Bryan Adams, Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli and Take That.
Along the way she has won multiple awards, including three MOBOS, an outstanding achievement award at The Urban Music Awards and three Brit Award nominations too. Her achievements were rewarded with an MBE in 2007.
