The medieval village Talloires located on the lake’s shores is equally charming, and steeped in history with its abbey dating back to 1016.

The snow-capped glaciers of Mont Blanc, Europe’s highest mountain, provide a magnificent backdrop to the colourful alpine town of Chamonix. For unparalleled views scale over 12,500 feet to the summit on the Aiguille du Midi cable.

Further north, Lake Geneva oozes style and sophistication with picturesque towns sprinkled along its shores.

The fortified town of Yvoire, which is lavishly bedecked in flowers is rightfully nicknamed the ‘Gem of the Lake’ due to its picture postcard setting.
