Southport Flower Show coach breaks

Enjoy Britain’s largest and longest running independent flower show in the wonderful seaside resort of Southport.

Stroll through the beautiful show gardens, see stunning flower and vegetable displays, grab tips from Gardeners’ World experts, watch live cookery demonstrations from big name chefs and browse hundreds of stalls – there’s plenty to keep you entertained!

The biggest event in Merseyside’s horticultural calendar, Southport Flower Show promises a great day out for gardening and food enthusiasts whatever the weather, with over 70% of the show under cover.

For four days in August, the show’s venue at Victoria Park is transformed into a horticultural haven with over a million blooms which provide a spectrum of colour and explosion of reds, oranges, yellows, blues and purples.

Prepare to the dazzled by the spectacular show gardens as the best designers in the business transform small plots into breathtaking displays which will leave you buzzing with ideas for your own garden.

To keep Southport Flower Show fresh, every year its organisers adopt a theme. In the past, themes have been things like ‘Mediterranean’, with all gardens, events, entertainment, food and floral marquees set to be inspired by the coastal regions of Italy, Spain and France.

Following the meditterranean theme, you could enjoy an array of terracotta pots, tiered fountains, statues and Roman columns all featured in the gardens, together with Lavender, Rosemary and Olive Trees as the designers look to conform to the theme.

Aside from the show gardens the Grand Floral Marquee is also a great place to take in the sights and smells of a wide variety of plants and flowers, and buy directly from the UK’s leading growers. Everything from roses, chrysanthemums, bonsai and begonias to hydrangeas, agapanthus and lilies can all be found under one roof.

If it’s advice you’re after then you’ll find plenty of help and tips from celebrity gardeners. Known celebrities historically have included Christine Walkden and Joe Swift.

The show has also earned a growing reputation as a festival for foodies with live cookery demonstrations from your favourite celebrity and TV chefs, plus over 60 stalls where can try and buy the finest gourmet and street-food.

There’s also live music, animal displays and over 350 diverse stalls and exhibitors for you to explore.

Every year Southport Flower Show attracts over 80,000 visitors. See what makes them return year after year and book your break today!
