Join us as we journey to the largest lake in Germany, Lake Constance – otherwise known as the Bodensee – which has developed into the nearest Germany has to a Riviera being rich in Castles, Baroque churches, exquisite town squares and curious museums.
Stood at the end of the pier that reaches out into Lake Constance in Bregenz, Austria you can trace the shoreline of Austria until it becomes Germany on your right and on your left you should be able to make out the mountains of Switzerland.
Today St Moritz is associated with the rich and famous who come here to ski and spend time amongst the crisp snows of the alps, but this stretch of mountains weren’t always home to top end boutiques and five star hotels. The birthplace of winter tourism in the Alps, it wasn’t until 1864 that the town became as popular during the colder seasons as it was in the summer. Once the snow melts the mountains of St.Moritz come alive and the beauty of the town is at its peak.
Austria & Switzerland
From its snow capped peaks and tranquil lakes to pretty floral decked villages, Austria is quite simply a scene of breath-taking natural beauty and the famous setting of the iconic musical ‘The Sound of Music’.
